www.tnfscl.comwww.tnfscl.com: The National Football Stadium Company Limited websiteFIFA has awarded the Government of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago (Government) the right to host the FIFA 2001 World Under 17 Football Championships, which is scheduled for April 2001. Accordingly, the Government of Trinidad & Tobago through the auspices of the Ministry of Sport Youth & Culture and in conjunction with the Trinidad & Tobago Football Federation has committees to host this international football tournament. The hosting of this prestigious FIFA tournament will require the construction of four stadiums throughout Trinidad & Tobago, and renovation of the Hasely Crawford stadium.

The National Football Stadium Company Limited (NFSCL), a wholly owned of RGM Limited has been established to carry out the development of these facilities including the renovation of the Hasely Crawford stadium. The development will be carried out by NFSCL under a build/own/lease/transfer structure (BOLT). NFSCL's financiers for this project are Royal Merchant Bank and Finance Company Limited.

RGM Limited (RGM) on NFSCL's behalf will manage and coordinate the development jointly with CONCACAF to ensure that the facilities will be available to Government in time for the tournament and that they meet FIFA specifications. RGM Limited is a joint venture property development Company owned equally by Royal Merchant Bank & finance Company Limited, Guardian Life of the Caribbean, and Barbados Mutual Life Society. RGM as developer has engaged PW Partnership Limited as Construction Managers for the Project.

Government has also required that the Stadiums be developed as multisport facilities and will each include an Athletic Track, Floodlighting and Electronic Scoreboard. The stadiums will have seating capacities ranging between, 7,000 and 10,000 persons, and will have some covered seating area and disabled access.
