ST. BENEDICT College of Trinidad and Tobago has accepted an invitation from Vere Technical High School to send an under-20 team of footballers to play a series of matches against Vere Technical and other school teams in Jamaica. They are due to arrive in the island during the first week of September.

The visitors will play four matches—one at Vere Technical and one in St. James against Vere Technical teams and two at the National Stadium against an all-school team.

The St. Benedict footballers have proved themselves to be Trinidad's best. They won the championship of that country for two consecutive years in all three divisions the second time.

They also defeated Jamaica's KSAFA under-19 team which toured Trinidad in December last.

St. Benedict College produced some of Trinidad's best footballers. The recent Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Football Association (CONCACAF) championship held in Jamaica saw five of their players included in Trinidad's squad.

When they visit Jamaica in September, however, they will be withough three of their top players — Warren Archibald, Lloyd Dillion and Jan Steadman, all of whom have migrated to the United States to play professional soccer.
