200 Freshmen Report At Dartmouth

Hanover, Sept. 19—Nearly 200 candidates reported to Pat Holbrook, coach of the Dartmouth freshman football team, at the first practice session yesterday afternoon on Chase Field here. The enormous squad was split into groups after a short period of instruction and the large staff of assistant coaches sent the yearlings through a drill on fundamentals.

Coach Holbrook stated that the practice will be elementary for at least a week, when the first year men will begin to learn the plays. The promising squad will not be cut by the coach, but will be divided into sections some time before the first game on Oct. 4. Games have been scheduled for both groups.

Forty men answered the call of Tom Dent, Green soccer coach, yesterday afternoon when the first practice was held. Although the squad Although the squad will probably be swelled by more candidates within the next few days, there are now nine veterans back ready for work.

The team will be captained by Tom Eagan of Somerville, Mass. The regulars back from last year's team are A. B. Stollmeyer, L. Allen, B. G. Beisel, R. M. Henry, E. H. Moore, I. Kramer, R. G. Perkins and J. M. Richardson.
