The Caribbean Football Union's (CFU) Executive has agreed that both matches between Barbados and Suriname in the 1983 Andre Kamperveen memorial Championship will be played in Barbados, it has been announced officially. At a recent meeting of the CFU Executive it was decided that both qualifying round games between the Barbadians and the Surinamers would take place in Bridgetown on March 6 and 9, CFU Secretary Austin Warner said. The Barbados Football Association (BFA) had told the CFU they were not prepared to go to Suriname because of the political climate there.
