MIAMI (UPI) — The Miami Toros moved into first place in the North American Soccer League's Eastern Division with a 3-0 win over the Baltimore Comets Friday night, but that lead may not last more than 24 hours.

The Comets tonight move over to Tampa to play the second place Rowdies who would match the Toros 10-3 record with a win, but would probably take the lead back on points.

Miami's Steve David kept up this league scoring pace against Baltimore (4-6) with the final goal of the night, a point blank blast from nine yards out on assists from Dave Proctor and Ronnie Sharp at 64 minutes.
