PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (AP)—A college of Virgin Islands football team will visit Trinidad for a one-week series of matches, if arrangements now in progress between the College of the Virgin Islands officials and Trinidad soccer officials materialize.

Eugene Werts, athletics director of the V.I. College, said he began negotiations with Trinidad officials some weeks ago but had not yet received confirmation. He said the college team will pay all expenses except board and lodge and hopes to play one game in north Trinidad and the other in the south.

He said he hoped the tour will take place between March 30 and April 5.

Yesterday morning, however, Eric James, secretary of the Trinidad Football Association, said he had not yet received official word about the tour. He added the association will be happy to discuss the proposal and has advised Werts to forward communication to the associations headquarters here.
