Cambridge University 4 ... Corinthians* 3

Cambridge University, after being two goals down at the interval, made a splendid recovery in the second half, and won an exciting struggle by superior tactics in the front of goal during the closing half hour. Fifteen minutes after the start Doggart scored for Corinthians, who, although playing against the wind, attacked frequently, but could not score again until three minutes form half-time, when Doggart added a second goal.

Eight minutes after the restart Webster found the net for Cambridge, Abbot took over the duties of goalkeeper for Grant who went off injured, and the Cambridge forwards then masterd the looser and weakened defence, Kemp-Welch at once equalising. Robins regained the lead for the Corinthians, but Kemp-Welch, whose dribbling and shooting was the feature of the match, added two goals in the closing minutes, to win the University a deserved success.
