FOOTBALL MATCH.

BOY SCOUT VS LA PIQUE

Quite a large and enthusiastic gathering witnessed the football match at Paradise Pasture on Saturday afternoon between the plucky Scouts and La Pique, this being the first item on the S.A.F.S's programme for the season. At the outset of the game Robert Lewis of the Scouts met with an accident which resulted in his retirement with a broken arm, and later "Alloy" Patrick a little La Piquean went down gasping on the right wing of Scout half back area. Lewis was taken to the Hospital, Patrick was able to play after a few minutes. Mr. Russell of Southern F.C. refereed. The game was interesting throughout. Boy Scouts deprived of Lewis' services fought valiantly securing a goal in the first half. La Pique got the advantage of a penalty kick which Mulloon took in vain. After a severe struggle however, La Pique succeeded in equalising and the game ended in a 1 to 1 draw. Much sympathy is felt for young Lewis who is a popular footballer.
