A CORRECTION.

It was mentioned in the report of the Boy Scouts-Southern match that the former are second class players. What was intended is that with the exception of Scoutmaster Hendy, who is a first class man, Boy Scouts are second class footballers.

BOY SCOUTS V. MASCOTTE.

The match between the Football Clubs mentioned above ended in a victory for the former club. Their contest came off at Paradise Pasture on Monday afternoon before a fairly large gathering; but as chairs were not provided, most of the ladies were noticed retiring before the game was finished. A good deal of mis-kicking was witnessed as the play proceeded; but Scouts kicked better than Mascotte and succeeded in compiling three goals to Mascotte's one goal. Two penalty kicks were ruled by Referee Mehuish in favour of Boy Scouts, who brought off one goal only. There was nothing particularly brilliant about the match that is worth while recording.
