Haitian football team stops here

A 24-strong Haitian football contingent led by Frantz Trouillot, General Secretary of the Haitian Football Federation and Antoine Tassy were met at the Norman Manley Airport by Jamaica Football Federation's first vice-president Tino Barovier last Thursday.

They were in transit to Port-au-Prince after playing a series of games in preparation for their World Cup Zone Qualifying round.

On a Caribbean tour they had 3-1 and 1-0 victories Guyana, 0-0 draw, 4-2 win over Trinidad and suffered their only defeat at the hand of Barbados who won 3-2.

Today they play Peru in the first of two games in Port-au-Prince the other being Monday. These are also preparation matches.
