PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Aug. 21, (Reuters):

Jamaica scored an upset 1-0 win over table toppers Trinidad when the Benson and Hedges Caribbean Youth Soccer Series continued here today at the Queen's Park Oval.

The lone goal came in the 29th minute through Herbert Gordon.

As a result of today's win Jamaica now head the standings with three points and best placed to emerge champions of the four way series.

They play their final match Thursday against Barbados who have been improving with every match.

Trinidad who needed to draw today and then beat cellar placed Guyana on Tuesday to win the tournament never displayed the brand of winning football especially following their convincing 4—1 victory over Barbados in the opening match last Saturday.

Jamaica were faster to the ball and their clever ball control on the hard ground had their opponents under pressure most of the time.

Trinidad and Guyana will meet in the fifth match of the series on Tuesday at Skinner Park in San Fernando.
