CONCACAF club championships start at Stadium Jan. 22

THE Caribbean elimination round of the Confederation of North Central American and Caribbean Football Associations (CONCACAF) Club Championships tournament, will be held at the National Stadium starting on Monday, January 22, with Jamaica Regiment, last season's first division champions taking on Jong Colombia of the Netherlands Antilles at 8 p.m.

The tournament will last until February. Fans will have nine nights of soccer from defending champions Racing Club of Haiti, Sommerset of Bermuda, Trinidad Regiment, Jong Colombia of the Netherlands Antilles and Jamaica Regiment.

The winning team of this tournament, will meet the champion club in Central America to decide the CONCACAF Club champion.

All four teams are expected to arrive in the island by Saturday, January 20.

The full itinerary of the matches are: Jan. 22 Jamaica Regiment vs Jong Colombia of the Netherlands Antilles; Jan. 23 Sommerset (Bermuda) vs. Racing Club (Haiti); Jan 24: Trinidad Regiment vs. Jong Colombia; Jan 25: Jamaica Regiment vs Sommerset; Jan. 26: Racing Club vs. Trinidad Regiment; Jan. 27: Jong Colombia vs Sommerset; Jan. 29 Jamaica Regiment vs Trinidad Regiment; Jan. 30: Racing Club vs. Sommerset; Jan. 31: Trinidad Regiment vs. Sommerset, Feb. 1: Jamaica Regiment vs Racing.
