THE Jamaica Football Federation's contingent of 15 players, National football coach, George Thompson, team-manager, Major Leslie Lloyd, and the President of the Federation, Mr. George Abrahams, the offical accompanying the team, is scheduled to leave the Palisadoes Airport this morning at 11:15 for Trinidad, where they will participate in a football festival which will mark part of the Trinidad Football Association's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The players due to leave this morning are, Frank Brown (capt), John Simmonds, Vester Constantine, Lloyd Haynes, Clement Dawes, Oscar Black, Paul Thomas, Vernon Bell, Alston DaCosta, Lloyd McLean, Leeford Hardie, David Largie, Milverton Brooks, Undel Williams and Denis Ziadie.

The team was selected by the JFF's first vice-president, Mr. Tino Barovier, chairman of the special meeting which was held last Monday to select the team, national coach, George Thompson, and Lester Richards, a member of the Federation's executive committee.

Two professional players, Neville Oxford and Delroy Scott, both of whom it was speculated would be on the team, will not make the trip as on the advice of FIFA, Jamaica should not use a player who is a member of the National Professional Soccer League.

The team will play their first match tomorrow when they meet a Trinidad XI. On Saturday, December 2, their third and last match will be a return encounter with the Trinidad XI, while their second match will be against a Combined College XI, on Wednesday, November 29.

Coach Thompson told the GLEANER yesterday that although the team has only been working together for a short time, due to the current football season, the team is a formidable one with a sound defence, and capable forwards, and should represent Jamaica honourably.

The team which will play the first match is, Vester Constantine (goal), Paul Thomas (R.B.), John Simmonds (C.H.), Lloyd Haynes (L.H.), Frank Brown (capt, L.B.), Clement Dawes (R.H.), Lloyd McLean (I.L.), David Largie (O.R.), Undel Williams (I.R.), Oscar Black (C.F.) and Denis Ziadie (O.L.).

During the absence of the players, the KSAFA Division I competition will continue as scheduled. The teams which will be affected are, Jamaica Regiment, Santos, Lucas, Railway and St. George's Old Boys.

The team is due to return on Sunday, December 3.
