BRAZIL beat Trinidad by four goals to nil in the Triangular junior football tournament which opened here yesterday.

The visitors were superior in passing, ball control and speed, but at the end of the game their coach, Italo Feola, said the West surface hampered their play considerably.

Goalscorers were Achemar Caravetti (2), Carlos Freitas and Anton Guilherme.

Surinam's juniors who arrived yesterday, play Trinidad later today.

Surinam manager Johann Demiranda said he was confident of beating Trinidad, but Brazil was "another matter altogether."
