Opposes Washington

Syracuse's Scorpions face a stiff test tomorrow when they meet the unbeaten Washington Darts in an American Soccer League contest at Griffin Field at 3 p.m.

Washington, last year's league champion, currently is 3-0 in ASL play and the team scored eight goals so far while blanking the opposition. The Darts finished in a tie for second place in their first ASL season before taking first place last year.

Top players for Washington are Willie Evans and Bert Grell, former members of the NASL champion Atlanta Chiefs; Lincoln Phillips, a league all-star last season and currently the player coach of the Darts, John Kerr, captain of the 1968 Canadian World Cup team and a former player with the Detroit Cougars of the NASL, and Billy Fraser, an outstanding scorer from Great Britain.
