PORT OF SPAIN, Dec. 10:

THE Caribbean soccer team lost their first Test on the Surinam tour last Sunday, two goals to one.

Surinam scored first through Kruin, but the tourists equalised through a fine shot by Trinidad's Carlton 'Squeakie' Hinds. Ten minutes later, veteran forward Kamperveen netted for Surinam. All the goals were scored in the first half.

Duration of the match was 90 minutes, and the ground is far bigger than any in the West Indies. A match was played against a Club eleven on Tuesday, but the results are not yet known.

The second 'Test' will be played tomorrow, and the third and final 'Test' on Sunday. The tour ends December 16 vs a Club side.

Trinidad's previous visits to Surinam in 1936 and 1948 produced drawn results.
