MEXICO CITY, Nov 7. (Reuters):

Mexico will send a 22-strong football team to the World Cup qualifying round for the North American, Caribbean and Central American Zone in Haiti from November 29 to December 18, the Football Federation said today.

The Mexicans are favourites to win the round against Trinidad and Tobago, the Netherlands
Antilles, Honduras, Haiti and Guatemala.

The Guatemalan Football Federation announced two days ago that it would not go to Haiti due to lack of funds.

But a spokesman for the federation said last night the 60,000 U.S. dollars (J$48,000) required for the trip might be raised.

Guatemala face sanctions from the International Football Federation (FIFA) and North American, Central American and Caribbean Football Confederation (CONCACAF) if they do not travel to Haiti.
