PORT OF SPAIN, Nov 7.

SINCE Governor Sir Solomon Hochoy has refused to donate a cup to the Trinidad Turf Club for the annual Blue Riband racing event at Christmas, according to tradition, he has donated one Cup and has consented to give another in other fields.

Though he had not been active in sport or actively connected, he has donated a cup for football, which was won yesterday by Malvern in their 3-0 victory over the Colts.

These two played a charity match in aid of the Boys' Scouts Caribbean Jamboree Fund.

The next cup by Sir Solomon is to be for art.
