PORT of SPAIN, June 7:

MIDDLESEX WANDERERS and Trinidad played to a goalless draw at the Oval here this afternoon before a large crowd.

Trinidad brought in Hodge and Berassa for Mahon and Hamel-Smith, and gave the British Amateurs a run for their money in the second half particularly.

In general, Trinidad played a much better game than on Monday, and had the edge in the match. They had several scoring chances, but failed to get the desired result. The defence stood up well, too, after a hard first half, in which goalie Gomez saved his side some rather anxious moments by his keen anticipation.

The Britons in this half had about eight corners and over-shadowed the Trinidad side mainly because of the pace. But after half time, the homesters got going and took over for periods.

The blame for not scoring rests squarely on Trinidad's inaccurate shooting.
