Mr. Harold Burnett Holds Trinidad Side Best In Years.

A member of the 1935-36 Trinidad Team that visited here, Mr. Burnett recalled the football tournament quite vividly and was glad when he was selected to make the trip as he always wanted to be back. When the cricket tour was first mooted, he exhorted all the Trinidad probables endeavor to come to Jamaica as he would never forget the fine time he enjoyed here on his first visit.

"I recall that we only beat you by the odd goals in the three Colony matches, but we know that your standard of football was very high; and one thing that impressed me more than all, there was never an untoward or regrettable incident on or off the field, whether we were winning or losing," Mr. Burnett went to say.

"I recall, your standard of refereeing was very high, too, as set by Mike Hanna and a Sergeant from Camp. I have stopped playing football now and am refereeing instead and in this always endeavoured to live up to the standard of Mike Hanna and those other referees I met in Jamaica."
