THE inauguration ceremony of the British West Indies Football Board will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 1957 at the Institute at Jamaica. His Excellency the Governor, Sir Hugh Foot, the Jamaica Football Association announced, has expressed the intention of identifying himself with the function.
Local and regional dignitaries will also be invited and prominent figures in the field of sport.
On Sunday, January 20, a conference will be held at Sabina Park to have final discussions or the constitution of the new Board and to elect its officers.
Not exceeding three delegates, who have not as yet been finalised, have been invited from each of the places, which are taking part in the federated football Board. They will come from Grenada, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, Barbados, British Guiana, Antigua and Trinidad to confer with the Jamaica delegates.
