NEW YORK (AP) — If nothing else, the Baltimore Bays are consistent.
They equaled their top goal production of the season again Wednesday night . . . and lost 2-1 to the New York Generals.
The Bays, seeking their first victory of the North American Soccer League season, have scored three goals while losing four games and tying another.
Warren Archibald scored both New York goals Wednesday, the first after only one minute and 57 seconds of playing time had elapsed.
Art Welch tied it for Baltimore with 12 minutes gone in the second half, but Archibald booted the winning goal with 15 minutes remaining in the game.
It was the third 2-1 loss suffered by the Bays, who also lost a 2-0 decision and played a 0-0 tie.
