SIX of Jamaica's footballers who have signed up with clubs in the American League are scheduled to leave the island this week.
Leaving today at 11.45 will be Syd Bartlett, Paul Thomas and Neville Oxford, who are to play for New York. They will stop off in Miami where they will undergo training. They will be joined by Trinidadians Jan Steadman, Warren Archibald and Keith Dillion [sic, Leroy DeLeon].
On Wednesday at 5.00 the Welsh twins, Art and Asher, and Rudolph Pearce and Delroy Scott, leave. In Miami they will split up, with the Welsh twins going to Baltimore and Scott, and Pearce heading for Atlanta.
