Georgetown, British Guiana, Jan 25.--The following is the text of a cablegram from the Secretary of the Trinidad Football Association received by the Hony. Secretary of the B. G. Football Association yesterday relating to the forthcoming visit of a Trinidad team to compete for the Martinez Shield.

"Invitation accepted. Propose sailing "Skirmisher" 9th March to 30th. Hinds.

It will be remembered that the Trinidad authorities asked for a postponement of the tournament until 1928 but the local Association forwarded strong representations and it is believed made out a very good case for a 1928 tournament. The decision of the Trinidadians will meet with acclamation of all footballers in this colony. The Executive Committee of the B. G. F. A. are being communicated with as expeditiously as possible to get the necessary arrangements in hand. The Selection Committee was chosen at a meeting held last year and comprises Messrs. W. T. Saunders, P. C. Cox, and I. O. Smith (co-opted) as captain together with Mr. A. M. Jones, Hon. Secretary.

It is understood that there is every likelihood of the intercolonial matches being played on the new ground which the B. G. F. A. are establishing near Thomas Road.
