THE St. Mary's College football tour of Jamaica got off to an eventful start at Sabina Park last night, as Ralph Horton, the speedy left winger, suffered a broken shin during the match with Manning Cup champions, Kingston College.

Early in the first half, KC's right half, Albert McDermott, fell in trying to clear the ball upfield. Horton rushed in to kick downfield, but missed and his right shin hit McDermott's boot with a resounding snap as he fell.

Horton was lifted off the field and subsequent examination showed the fracture.

Horton who also received a bruise under his left eye, was removed to the Kingston Public Hospital in an ambulance.
