A meeting of the Finance Committee in connection with the coming visit to Jamaica of the Trinidad footballers was held, at Sabina Park yesterday to deal with the date for the opening match between the visiting and the All-Schools combination which was fixed for the afternoon of the 24th inst.

Present were: Mr. G. M. DaCosta, chairman, Mr. W. J. Palmer, President of the Jamaica Football Association, Mr. V. Parkinson, Hon. Secretary of the J. F. A., Mr. N. Walker, Assistant Secretary J.F.A., Messrs. Guy Campbell, N. N. Nethersole, L. R. Mordecai, and the Rev. Fr. Leo Butler, S.J.

The meeting lasted for about an hour, and after carefully weighing the matter from different angles, it was decided that in view of the fact that Christmas Eve—the day on which the first match should have been played, is such a busy one, despite the fact that according to schedule the visiting team [illegible] and on the following day would meet an All-Jamaica combination in the first big inter-Colonial game, the All-Schools match should be changed from the 24th to the 25th. This, however, the meeting observed, might bring a certain amount of hardship on the visitors, but the change of the opening match would be forwarded to them, which under the circumstances, they will agree to.

After minor matters, the meeting was adjourned.
