RICHMOND, Va. (AP)--The Atlanta Chiefs have won their first exhibition game against professional soccer opponents.
Three quick second-half goals propelled the Chiefs past the Baltimore Bays 3-2 in an exhibition contest between the two members of the newly formed National Professional Soccer League.
The same teams meet again April 16.
A goal in the first 10 seconds by Hipolito Chilinque gave the Bays a 1-0 edge which they held until Atlanta fullback John Cocking and forwards Everald Cummings and Ray Bloomfield gave the Chiefs a 3-1 lead.
Nelio Dos Santos gave the Bays their last goal on a free kick near the end of the game.
